How to split a PDF
Choose a PDF above. Click the page previews or enter ranges such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. Select Download selected pages as PDF to create one new file. To create a separate PDF for each page, choose one of the ZIP options.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and processed locally in your browser. The page libraries are downloaded from a CDN when you open this website, so an internet connection is needed for the tool to load.
Does splitting preserve text and image quality?
The tool copies original PDF pages rather than converting them to pictures. Most PDFs retain their page content, though complex interactive forms, digital signatures, bookmarks and some document-level features may not survive extraction. Always check the downloaded file.
Can I split password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs are not supported in this version. Unlock the PDF with an authorized tool first.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed website upload limit because processing is local, but large documents can exceed your device's available memory.
